Jammu and Kashmir govt. plans to computerize all revenue records

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has prepared a comprehensive plan for computerizing all revenue records by constructing modern record rooms in all the districts of the state.

Jammu and Kashmir Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Raman Bhalla said this after a high level meeting of the Department in Jammu.

Bhalla said that computerization of revenue record is under speedy progress.

“With the completion of computerization of the records, people would able to trace their desired records without any inconvenience,” Bhalla said.

He emphasised that the department is also distributing revenue passbooks to farmers containing all records pertaining to their land to ensure transparency at grass root level.

He said that the Jammu and Kashmir Government was keen to construct Revenue Complexes including Patwarkhanas, Naibiats and Tehsil buildings with all modern facilities for the benefit of general masses.
