Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, the leader of People’s Democratic party (PDP), has decided to dissolve the entire organizational structure of her party.
It is this decision that has helped in the reshaping of the PDP and appointing of a new beginning to the leadership of the party for the revival of the party’s role in the political panorama of Jammu and Kashmir. The reorganization will involve consultations with senior party members to create a fresh leadership team, Mufti said.
Dissolution Reasons Of PDP Structure
Mehbooba Mufti’s decision to pulverise the existing party structure is a strategic shift to meet the fast changing political challenges in Jammu and Kashmir.
Since 2019, replacing the Article 370, which removed Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, the PDP has seen itself facing many hurdles. The party’s appeal among the people is being revived, mufti said, by bringing in new gestures of voices and perspectives with in the party.
A New Leadership Structure: Steps Toward.
PDP officials said the party will choose a new leadership team using senior party members who helped found and build the party. The consultative approach is designed to protect the party’s core values and regional priorities as the party is being changed structurally.
Jammu and Kashmir party’s renewed focus on fighting for the rights of people in Kashmir is expected to bring on new leadership appointments of people who will toe the party line.
